The warm-up It is critical to take the time to warm up your muscles, especially those used in the workout session. A proper warm-up allows for successful stretching as well as sufficient blood flow to the muscles.
Stretching Once you have done your warm-up either through light cardio activity or a slow-controlled 15-20 repetition set of your first exercise, you will need to stretch the working muscles. Stretching will help prevent any damage or injury and should be performed before, during & after workouts.
Proper Form As with stretching movements, all exercise repetitions should be peformed in a slow and controlled manner. Avoid swinging or jerking the weight. Use a weight you can handle comfortably for the suggested reps.
